If your child has been having difficulty achieving very good results at school; gets lost in a large class setting because he is shy, withdrawn or passive and does not readily participate in class discussions or socialize very much with peers; if your child speaks of not liking school or if your child’s individual needs are not being met because he doesn’t learn as quickly as his classmates then The Master’s Way Christian Academy is the school for him.  We attend to the issues that affect your child’s learning and overall development.

We also minister to those who do not necessarily have any learning issues, whose parents simply wish for their children to have the best opportunity to meet their potential and progress at a comfortable rate rather than be held back because of pupils who are more or less adept.

Being exposed to different teachers has its advantages.  Apart from the exposure to different teaching styles, the child learns to adapt to the different temperaments of authority figures.  However, these are also achieved in the child’s daily life as time is spent with adult relatives, etc.
      In regards to the various teaching styles, what  matters more is the child’s learning style.  A teacher who has spent time working with a child  would be aware of his academic status and can continue to meet the child’s needs and facilitate progress, whereas, new teachers every year would require time spent getting to know each child and becoming familiar with his or her learning style before meeting his/her needs.  (Still, teacher consultations can address this matter.)  Whether a child has one teacher year after year or a new teacher each year, what matters is that the child’s needs are met and  his learning style is catered to, so as to bring about the best results.

 Socialization is a factor most affected by this very small school.  This, however, should not be considered a negative thing.  In such a setting, the children associate with a small group of peers but because it is small, they would be encouraged to resolve differences quickly, work cooperatively and not be easily influenced negatively or be pressured into inappropriate behaviours as the environment is more controlled.

With the COVID-19 pandemic haunting us and socializing being a key factor in its spread, our small community is a safe place for your child.

  Learning to face challenges is part of the The Master’s Way Christian Academy’s programme.  Children learning who they are, why they are here, right from wrong, what to do in the face of temptation, how to resolve conflicts, etc. are matters dealt with at the T.M.W.C.A.  With such a foundation, with standards set for themselves and with the leadership qualities they will acquire, the students of The Master’s Way Christian Academy will be well equipped to face the challenges they’ll meet in secondary school and throughout their lives.  Of course, continued guidance and admonition on the part of their parents are also vital.

One must take into consideration all of the factors that contribute to the child’s S.E.A scores:  Factors such as…
– the level at which the child enters the school and how much time he has to prepare;
– the rate at which the child processes information and grasps concepts;
– the child’s specific learning challenges (reading, dyslexia, ADHD, etc.)
– the child’s diligence and work ethics
– attendance
– the level of parental involvement
